Description “Peru has everything in one package, from the lost city of Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail to surf breaks, canyons and Lake Titicaca,” according to Tom Wheeler, founder of the Lonely Planet guide books.
As a result of growing awareness and the diverse wonders it has to offer, Peru has becoming an increasingly popular travel destination. Most people who visit Peru, manage to hit the South and its ancient ruins, but unfortunately miss out on the wonderful beaches in the North. Therefore, allow me to tell you a little about this unique area of the world and its incredible vacation potential...
With 365 days of sunshine and 2 inches of annual rainfall, the climate of Northern Peru is a constant 'spectacular'! Highlighting your stay would be breath-taking ocean views, including some of the world's most amazing sunsets, as well as the opportunity to rejuvenate with sand between your toes; warm sun bathing your skin; an ocean breeze caressing your face; and the gentle rhythm of warm, tropical waves as your constant soundtrack. On the other hand, if a bit of action is what you desire there are also plenty of activities and night life to be found.
Although quickly developing, the area remains an unspoiled part of the world which will allow you the privilege of experiencing authentic, coastal-Peruvian life firsthand—an opportunity which can only lead to the most memorable and invigorating experiences. Such an emerging market also allows you to capture a large variety of activities at some very affordable prices as well as hotels to meet any budget.
Some of these activities include...
World-class Surfing (Peru is known as “the Land of Lefts”)
Kitesurfing
Record-breaking Ocean Fishing
Snorkeling & Scuba Diving
Whale/dolphin watching
Browsing Local Artisan Markets
Nature Excursions

Relaxing in the sand or lounging around a pool with a rum beverage in hand.
Becoming part of the lively nightlife in Mancora which which pours out of the bars and onto the streets
In addition, the tranquil atmosphere of Northern Peru provides a clear space to let your creative juices flow, making this an ideal location for photographers, writers, artists, and others looking for a little inspiration. Even the great Ernest Hemingway spent eight months in the area penning “The Old Man And The Sea”.
Whether you are planning an authentic beach get away or simply passing through Peru on the way to your next travel destination, the coast of northern Peru should not be missed.
